One of the things I love about writing is research. It’s fun to create characters and decide what they will look like, talk like, dress like and live. One of the characters in The Kaleidoscope, is Louisa Eleanor Graham, a wealthy business woman and former US Ambassador who lives in the Northside of Chicago. Her home is modeled after brownstone style residences found in Chicago, like this one. I start by finding the general look and feel and then let my imagination go to work.
