What makes a coffee shop a place you love to go? The coffee? The atmosphere? The people who work there? Or all the above? There's just something about a great coffee shop, between the sounds of baristas working, friends catching up, people reading or working quietly, and a delicious, warm drink to top it off.
Finding a great coffee shop is like finding a hidden treasure, so here are three I've been to recently - make sure to plan a stop next time you're needing a cup of joe.
Overflow Coffee in Liberty, Missouri – Lots of great things to say about Overflow. Not only do they have a great atmosphere, they support great causes. Plus, they have a “bookstore” where you can take a book, for a donation that goes toward their cause of the month. Their menu includes crepes and gluten free options. It’s always a good day to stop in at Overflow Coffee! www.overflowcoffeehouse.com
The Paisley Perk in Kearney, Missouri – A popular place for pastries and coffee near downtown Kearney. Enjoy your latte on the patio or inside. This place is so cute and really is focused on the local community. They offer both breakfast items and a small variety of sandwiches, plus yummy pastries. You can find them on Facebook. https://www.facebook.com/paisleyperk
Ahadu Coffee Shop in Lee’s Summit, MO - I found this shop last week and it was great! They offer seasonal flavors and a great variety of pastries and crepes. It is a popular place and offers a comfortable atmosphere. Everyone who visited while I was there seemed to love it. If you’re in Lee’s Summit, check it out. Here’s their Facebook page. https://www.facebook.com/people/Ahadu-Coffee/100042412041314
